Bhopal, India / Established 2003

We invent ideas that close the gap, then give them away.

OASiS is a laboratory for social innovation. We find long standing problems in the social sector, design simple and replicable solutions, prove them on the ground, and release the working models for anyone to adopt.

Vision and mission

Every human being, a socially secured citizen.

Our mission is to organise systems and approaches that empower every citizen toward a socially equitable and economically sustainable life. The premise is simple: the people who genuinely wish good for society outnumber those who do not, many times over. Give them a platform, and they reshape the face of their country.

03

Pilot

04

05

Give away

Release it to others to replicate at scale, for free.

The catalogue / 2003 to present

The Museum School

In the same city, a rich child gets the best building, the best teaching aids and five trained teachers. A poor child gets bare rooms and one overstretched teacher. The Museum School erases that gap without new buildings or budgets, by using what a city already owns.

City museums become the school. Their exhibits become teaching aids no classroom can match. B.Ed. students teach as part of their training. The model has run in Bhopal since 2005 and won the UNESCO Wenhui Award.
